Double Duty

Metropolitan Church brought me in for their Sunday morning services. It’s always great to play with such talent. The youth and adult choir combined today for a spectacular praise time. We also got to play my favorite cut “Your Name”, from the almost complete Bates Brothers recording project.
This evening we Celebrated Lynn Deshazo’s birthday with a night of [...]

Here’s to Variety

Today was the finish up day at Bates Brothers Studio. It was a quick session. I have been trying to get tracks on the first or second take(So Eric will bring me back). Steve Morse was once commenting on country legend Albert Lee. He said Lee cut the perfect take every time. 2006 Indie Community Compilation C.D.

Jennifer McConnell has done it again! The 2006 Indie Community C.D. is unbelievable! The quality of music must be heard. It is the most professional indie recording I have ever heard. Jason Elgin and Synchromesh studio did a fantastic job of Compiling and Mastering. The C.D. has 16 tracks of original Southeastern Christian talent. Check [...]

Lisa Bevere Conference

Janet Goins and Chris Garmin put together a fantastic group of musicians and singers, for this weekends Lisa Bevere conference. We started with rehearsals on Thursday and finished up with the Sunday service. It was one of the better bands I have played with. Lisa was an excellent speaker and both the Friday and Saturday sessions were well [...]

The rhythm couldn’t be more simplistic. But on the last session a few weeks ago, I wasn’t on beat.  Terrible thing to practice licks all your life and find out you can’t strum! Ha…The part today worked out , but [...]

In Focus

Friday, the Lynn Deshazo band was off to In Focus church(.org) in Augusta Ga. We met some great new folks including pastor/worship leader Brent Garrard, and sound extrordinare Mark Ryals of Garden City sound. This was the first road trip with the full band. The recent addition of bassist Mike Panik has added a great [...]
